Entre 2014 et 2022, le European Social Policy Network (ESPN) a soutenu la Commission européenne en fournissant des informations et des analyses indépendantes sur les politiques de protection sociale et d'inclusion sociale, contribuant ainsi à améliorer le suivi social et à favoriser l'élaboration d'initiatives de politique sociale au niveau européen. Le consortium était composé de l'Institut luxembourgeois de recherche socio-économique (LISER, contractant principal), du centre de recherche indépendant Applica et de l'Observatoire social européen (OSE).
Since 2014, the European Social Policy Network (ESPN) has been supporting the European Commission with independent information, analysis and expertise on social policies to foster the development of evidence-based social policy initiatives at European level. In particular, the ESPN supports the Commission in monitoring progress towards the EU’s social protection and social inclusion objectives as set out in the Europe 2020 Strategy, the European Pillar of Social Rights and the European Semester.
L'OSE a démarré une nouvelle recherche pour l'Institut syndical européen (ETUI), visant à produire deux Policy Briefs de l'ETUI. La première traite des questions relatives aux récentes réductions des pensions de retraite des travailleurs exerçant des emplois pénibles ou dangereux.
